Yes. Three Rivers Voice and Speech Services provides speech-language therapy through secure teletherapy. Sessions are conducted virtually, allowing clients to participate from the comfort and privacy of their own home or another appropriate location.
I provide speech-language services for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of communication needs. My primary clinical interests are voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication, with services individualized to each client's age, goals, and communication needs.
Services may address a range of communication concerns, including voice disorders and vocal changes, vocal fatigue or strain, fluency difficulties such as stuttering, and cognitive-communication challenges involving memory, attention, organization, problem-solving, and word retrieval. Speech and language services are also available based on individual needs.
Yes. Voice is the primary clinical focus of Three Rivers Voice and Speech Services. With a background as a professional opera singer and voice educator, I have extensive experience working with singers and understand the specific demands placed on the professional voice. Services may also be appropriate for actors, musical theater performers, teachers, and other individuals who rely on their voices professionally.
Yes. I am LSVT LOUD® certified and provide LSVT LOUD® services through teletherapy for individuals with Parkinson's disease and other appropriate neurological conditions. LSVT LOUD® is an intensive voice treatment designed to help individuals improve vocal loudness and functional communication.
A physician's referral is not necessarily required to contact the practice. You are welcome to reach out to discuss your concerns and determine whether speech-language services may be appropriate. Depending on your circumstances and any requirements related to insurance or medical care, a referral or medical documentation may be recommended.
An initial evaluation is an opportunity to discuss your communication concerns, goals, and relevant medical or personal history. Depending on the reason for the evaluation, assessment may include standardized measures, clinical observation, speech and language tasks, voice assessment, or other appropriate measures. The evaluation findings are used to determine whether therapy is recommended and, if so, develop an individualized plan of care.
Three Rivers Voice and Speech Services is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. Private-pay services allow for greater flexibility and individualized care, with treatment recommendations based on your needs and goals rather than insurance coverage or limitations. This can also provide flexibility in determining the frequency and duration of therapy.
Payment is due at the time of service. Speech-language therapy services may be eligible for reimbursement through a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), depending on your plan. Clients are encouraged to check with their plan administrator to confirm eligibility.
Upon request, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement vary by insurance plan, so clients should contact their insurance provider to determine whether their plan includes out-of-network speech-language benefits.
Teletherapy services are currently available to clients located in Pennsylvania and New Mexico, subject to applicable state licensure requirements.
Teletherapy is conducted through a secure online platform using a computer, tablet, or compatible device. Depending on the type of therapy, sessions may include conversation, exercises, structured activities, education, and individualized strategies. Your speech-language pathologist will guide you through the process and determine what approaches best support your goals.
No. Teletherapy is designed to be accessible and straightforward. You will need a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone. Before your first session, you will receive instructions for connecting to your appointment and can ask questions if you need assistance.
